BOB ANDERSON 1947 - 1965 STATION AGENT, STATION MANAGER GXY BIL VEL DEN ABQ CYS I am not sure if Bob Anderson or Ron Gildea are listed in the "gone west" and I am not sure of the dates of their passing. Thanks for keeping us all informed. -Red Barringer (4/29/02) The only new information I could get on Bob Anderson was - he and wife had been on a trip to Europe. On his return at DEN, he had a heart attack. This happened in 1963, best we could guess, and he was probably in his early 40's. He was city manager in CYS at the time, and Ollie Brunz took his place in CYS. -Red Barringer (5/1/02) I was employed by FL on August 20, 1963, in CYS, by Bob Anderson who later died of a heart attack on his 42nd birthday at the Denver airport. -Roger Greenlee (2/17/03) RL Anderson Seniority date 9/3/47 Per 11/1/1955 System Seniority List -Jake Lamkins (1/26/06) Robert (Bob) Anderson's wife never remarried after he passed away and Myrna recently passed away. -Roger Greenlee (7/19/13) R L ANDERSON Station agent seniority date of 9/3/47, # 3 on the list, per the 2/1/65 FL/ALEA Seniority List. Still cannot find him at the SSDI. -Jake Lamkins (7/19/13) Bob Anderson hired me when I was 19. When I turned 21 and wanted to join the Masons, Bob was one of the two signers on my petition. Several weeks before Bob died on his birthday in Denver, believe at the Frontier ticket counter, Bob wanted me to go have a beer with him, that was kind of unusual for him to do that. Over beer he told me how he was invested. He explained his entire finiancial position, he had just bought a new Buick, refinanced his house, with life insurance on both, he had also bought a life insurance policy to cover the $100,000 he was in debt. Not sure what a manager made in 1965-66 - it wasn't much. He also handled the cleaning contract for the terminal building. When we went over to his home after his funeral, I found out from hearing the conversation between general office personel and Myrna that she didn't know anything about Bob's investments. I stayed until everyone left then told her I would like to tell her what Bob had told me. Memory fades a little over time but I believe he even told me where all the insurance policies and investment papers were kept. -Roger Greenlee (7/19/13) Posted at FLacebook and the FL Club: CYS station manager Bob Anderson's memorial webpage has been updated. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Bob_Anderson1.html Found a photo and more info on Bob. Still need an obituary though. -Jake Lamkins (7/22/13)
