OBITUARY
Billy Joe Walker (1924-2009)  
RAVENNA - 
Graveside services for Billy Joe Walker, 85, of Ravenna will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2009 at Old Inglish Cemetery in Bonham. 
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. 
Billy Joe Walker passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham. 
Billy Walker was born on March 4, 1924 in Bonham to parents Roy E. Walker and Ethel Victoria Hughes. 
Mr. Walker was a life long Bonham resident, a Purple Warrior and graduated from Bonham High School. 
Mr. Walker was a commercial pilot with 16,000 hours of flight time, and a crop dusters. 
He was a mechanic for Central Airlines while being co-owner of Walker Bros. Flying Service in Rio Grand Valley. 
Mr. Walker was also the manager at the Bonham Airport and an employee of VPG. 
He was of the Methodist Faith. 
Survivors are nieces Carol Anne Johnson of McKinney, Laura Lou Hayden of Forney, Martha Sue Ivy of Oklahoma City, Okla., 
Norma Jo Nix of Bridgeport; nephews, Ray Alan Walker of Sanger, Roy Tom Wix of Sulphur Springs; close friend, Eva Nell Pierce of Ravenna. 
He was preceded in death by brother Ed Walker, and sisters Martha Vineyard and Mary Wix. 
Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Whitlock and Ray Walker. 
Visitation will be held prior to the service at 12:30 p.m. on Friday May 1 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham .
