They had a good turnout of over 100 including Lund, Demoney and Bill Wayne. They catered the food and had a couple of kegs of beer. A good time was had by all. We took the sample Frontier News that you provided and they went like hot cakes. Attached is one of the pictures which was taken. Fellow in the middle is Jim Seamster who among other things first worked for me as an agent in 1949. He retired as a Sr. Agent in San Diego with the bankruptcy. -Bill and Barb Monday (11/16/05) Here is a Bert Hall tidbit that you might be able to use. Bert Hall was the Captain on Challenger flight 2 from Denver to Billings on that morning in 1947. I was the agent on duty in Cheyenne. The inbound radio transmissions went along these lines ... "Cheyenne, Challenger 2 Lone Tree at 06, 7500 VFR estimate on the ground at 16" "Roger Challenger 2 Lone Tree 06, 6500 VFR on the ground at 16" "Monday, I said 7500 not 6500. We are in an airplane not a submarine" I had listened but not heard ..... Lesson learned. -Bill Monday (7/31/10) Would appreciate if you would hold sending BiIl any email for now as he is in the hospital. Kidneys failing and working on the first steps for dialysis. Not sure of exactly when I will be able to bring him home. Appreciate your help in this matter. -Barb Monday (12/20/13) I visited Bill and Barb today at the Life Center of Aurora where Bill has been since Christmas Eve…. he most likely will be there another week or so depending on how well the dialysis goes and how quickly Barb can learn how to do the dialysis at home. Bill looks good—his color is good but they are having some difficulty regulating the amount of dialysis they can do and still keep his blood pressure/oxygen levels at a good rate. I took him some homemade peanut brittle and he didn’t hesitate to take that first piece along with a second piece! -Carolyn Boller (1/3/14) Just received word that Bill Monday passed away this AM. Barb is very busy right now so contain your calls. -Leo Schuster (1/9/14) I am saddened to tell you that Bill Monday passed away this morning, January 9, at 7:40 am at his home.
