The Stores were maintained by union personnel and I have forgotten their reporting channels 
although I think they may have reported up to the Vice President of Maintenance. 
The Inventory Control Department was part of the Purchasing Department and we were nonunion management personnel. 
Mr. Jeuel Schmidtke was the Director of Purchasing and he ultimately reported to 
William Groody who was Vice President/Treasurer of FAL back in 1967.

Groody is now 86.
There was a big change in 1971 when Al Feldman took over.
My 1972 FL annual report doesn't have Groody on the VP list.

Jim Montgomery just called me and told me Bill Groody passed away.  
I believe Mr Groody was in Finance with FAL.  
Jim couldn't remember when his funeral will be but it's at Horan & McConanty , located on Colo Blvd in DEN.
Tomorrow Ellen and I and hopefully several others will be at Jim Montgomery's 94th Birthday party!  
Bill Groody was the same age as Jim and usually was always at the party with his wife.

Groody was VP-Treasurer and left about 1971 when Feldman took over.

I went to Jim Montgomery's birthday party, lots of people and great music!  
It was Bill Groody, 94 years old, that passed away;
his funeral is Feb 4, 1000 at Horan & McConaty funeral home, on Colorado Blvd and Mississippi. 
He was a Treasurer, started when Lou Dymond came on board.

Sorry to hear of Bill Groody passing, he was a good friend.  
I first met Bill when I was Regional Sales Manager in Billings.
After visiting we discovered we had mutual friends. 
Bill was very gracious and always took time to visit whenever we came in contact. 
I got to know him better while setting up two Board of Directors meetings, 
one in Billings and the other while in Kansas City.
