ART RAY 1974 - 1985 STATION AGENT, STATION MANAGER, ASSISTANT MANAGER-AIRCRAFT APPEARANCE ALS ISN DRO DEN The reason I am contacting you is to try and find out a contact person and phone number to get in touch with concerning my pension benefits, both for ALEA and Salaried as I am getting ready to retire in the near future. Here's a little background on what I have found out so far. I was contacted the Principal Financial Group concerning my annuity with ALEA, so this part of it is fine. I then was notified by the social security administration that I also should have another annuity coming from the time I was a salaried employee with Frontier. Here's where I am having some trouble finding a contact person, phone number or insurance agency that has the responsibility for the salary annuity. The information sheet that I received from the social security department gave me an address of the Pension Board in Denver , I wrote them a letter since I did not have a phone number and my correspondence was returned as undeliverable. I again contacted the retirement department of the Principal Financial Group, they indicated that the pension benefits would be handled by Continental Airlines, they gave me a name of Eric Ferguson (phone number 713-324-2584) in Houston . Apparently he does not work for Continental anymore and I can't get through on this phone number. I contacted the information desk to see if they could refer me to someone, they transferred me to a Shannon Carter and I can't seem to get her to return my phone calls, I have left a couple of messages in regards to this matter. I also talked to Sam Lambardo with Frontier Airlines HR Department in Denver , he also directed me back to Continental. But again, I have no luck. This morning I contacted the Principal Financial Group again and they gave me another contact, Mr Todd Hall who transferred my information to Leslieann Gallagher. She thought that Penn Mutual might be handling my annuity for the salaried employees for Frontier. I contacted Penn Mutual and they have no record of any annuity in my name. I again contacted Leslie and she recommended that I should get in touch with you. That maybe you would some information on who I should contact in regards to the salaried employees pension benefits. So that is why I am e-mailing you now, to see if you might have some information in this regards and who I should contact at either Continental or a name of another insurance company that might be handling the disposition of these annuities. Leslie also sent me your website and phone number. I would appreciate any help or suggestions you could offer in this matter. My phone contacts are as follows; work, 660-826-2992, cell 660-473-9185, home 660-829-1448. If you need to talk to me, feel free to do so or if you need any additional information such as the plan number of the annuity that I was sent by the social security admin, my birth date, ssn. Hopefully you will have some contacts or suggestions on how I might resolve this matter. Jake, thanks a lot for your help in this matter and I do appreciate it. Hope to hear from you soon. I am probably listed as A. L. Ray, employee number 12162 on the records: Alamosa, Co---Station Agent Williston, ND - Station Manager Durango, Co - Sales Service Manager Denver, Co - Asst. Mgr - Aircraft Appearance Denver, Co - Stores Department - Corporate Maybe this will help. If you need additional information please let me know. In management, I worked for Ed Dunaway. -Art Ray (3/10/10) Jake, I have forwarded Art's e-mail to a friend of mine, the Manager of Administration in HR in Corporate. He has since replied and is in turn forwarding Art's e-mail to the Retirement Manager for response. Please let me know if Art does not hear back in a week or so. I did try to respond to Art, but for some reason I was unable to do so. -Sandy Glau (3/11/10) Thanks Jake for all your help and for contacting many different people to help me with information regarding my pension. You may want to forward this e-mail on to them as I do not have many of their e-mail addresses. I was contacted by Fred Eliot yesterday who provided me information, I then contacted the Principal Financial Group again with that information and was able to resolve my situation in regards to the Salary Employees Pension Plan. I truly do appreciate everyone's help in this matter. It just goes to show we are still a tight family. May God Bless all of you and thank you. -Art Ray (3/12/10) That's great, Art, glad we got it worked out. Jake Lamkins (3/12/10) FL Club : Art Sanchez / Art Ray / Enos Archuleta Does anyone know what might have happened with the three gentlemen above? Arty Ray went on to be the manager in ISN and DRO. I believe that Enos took over as manager in ALS when Cliff Maggard went to BOI. They all worked in ALS with me in 1976. I know that our station manager at the time Cliff Maggard passed away a few years ago but I have lost touch with the three guys above and would love to find an email address or contact for them. -Joe Barker (8/9/11) Actually, I can't help you much beyond what you already know last about Art Ray. Other than to say this. Art Ray hired me twice when he was manager in DRO; the first time to work for FAL, until I left to work for a smaller, regional airline in New Mexico - and the second time to take over security screening in DRO a year later. Not long after I began that contracted work, Art left the employ of FAL. The last I knew of him, he was still living with his family just north of town in Durango. That was in the very early 80's. If you receive an email address or other contact for Art Ray, I would appreciate your sharing the information with me also. -Jerry Jordan (8/10/11) Art Ray left DRO SSM for DEN where he was assistant manager - aircraft appearance and a manager in stores. He left FL in 1985. He emailed me last year for info on his FL pensions. No contacts for Sanchez or Archuleta. -Jake Lamkins (8/10/11) Thanks for the info on Art Ray, I will try to send him an email. His wife taught school with my wife back in 1974 and that was actually how I started with Frontier, he asked me if I was interested in working a temporary summer job which turned into a permanent one. Had it not been for him, I would have probably finished college and been a boring music teacher instead of living the exciting and well paid life of an airline manager. Appreciate the help and I really appreciate the dedication you give to keeping the memory alive. It really didnt hit me until the 25th reunion but I really do miss the wonderful little airline that we were all so lucky to work for. -Joe Barker (8/10/11) A. L. RAY DOB 3/11/45 DOH 7/26/74 per the Dec 1984 FL/ALEA Pension Records. -Jake Lamkins (8/22/13) FLacebook Jake and all - I just found out from talking with Inez Ray, that Art Ray passed away on 12/24/14 of colon cancer. Art was a station agent with me when I started in 76 in ALS, not sure of his DOH. He went on to be SSM in ISN and also in DRO. I lost track of him and not sure if he was still with FL at the end.
