ART BURNETT 1966 - 1972 PILOT DEN The obituary for Art Burnett is in the Denver newspapers (Post / RMN ) March 9, 2008. Art is on a Pilot Seniority List of October 28, 1967 with a seniority date of July 1, 1966 (date of hire). He is not on any IAM Seniority lists. I find Art listed in Frontier News, July 1971, under the 5 year service awards, "A. W. Burnett, 2nd Officer". -Ken Schultz (3/12/08) I have on my master roster a AW Burnett hired 7-1-66 and date of birth as 11-30-29. That's about all I have. -Ace Avakian (3/22/08) I believe Art Burnett was hired as a professional flight engineer and didn’t stay long. I was hired in 1967 and have no recall of him. As with Ace, I show his hire date of 1966. However, he is NOT listed on the ALPA list. -Billy Walker (3/22/08) He was around for 5 years or so. Art's listed in Frontier News, July 1971, under the 5 year service awards, "A. W. Burnett, 2nd Officer". He is on the Oct 1967 FL/ALPA seniority list as Ken mentioned. According to Kaplan he left in the early 70's. -Bonnie Dahl (7/17/13) A W BURNETT Seniority # 338 DEN 727 second officer per the 5/1/71 FL Pilot Domicile List. A W BURNETT Seniority # 336 DEN 727 second officer per the 3/72 FL Pilot Domicile List. The 5/73 Domicile List shows neither 727 positions nor Burnett. I will assume he left in 1972. -Jake Lamkins (7/23/13) Posted at FLacebook and the FL Club: DEN second officer Art Burnett's memorial webpage has been updated. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Art_Burnett.html Finally got a photo of Art. -Jake Lamkins (7/26/13) Art Burnett was one of the nicest persons I ever had the privilege of knowing. When I was at EGOS Airframe school he was the school director. When a teacher called in sick Art would teach the class. He simplified the lecture and gave a new perspective to the subject material. After I finished EGOS I borrowed his home made evacuation pump for Air conditioning systems. You just cannot say enough good things about Art Burnett. He touched a lot of lives with his wit and personality. A good role model. -Roger Wallace (7/31/130
