Howard Emerson "Army" Armstrong Guest Book has been kept online until 9/11/2010 by Bradenton Herald at http://www.legacy.com/gb2/default.aspx?bookid=584248158705 September 13, 2010 My Grandfather was the most wonderful man I have ever known. I am so lucky to have had him in my life for so long. What a blessing to know he will be looking over our family for the rest of our time till we can all be together again. Thank you for all the memories Grandpa! I will never forget the sound of your laughter! Love always, ~ Kristy Clay, Seattle, Washington December 29, 2009 I wish I had learned of his passing sooner. He was my great uncle and I wish I had known him. He sounds like a great man and I'm sorry for his loss. His family and friends in his life were lucky. Best wishes to all! ~ Kim Kraich, Grand Junction, Colorado September 13, 2009 Army was terrific to fly with and to just be with. Big, robust, always smilin' he will be long remembered by those of us priviledged to have shared his flight deck. A few years ago, Pat & Sylvia Sanders, Cheryl and I were on a ferry back to Seattle when Army walked up and said "Howz ya doin'!" That was the last time I saw Army and, yes, he was sportin' his famous smile. Blue Skies Army, and Fair Winds on your Flight West! ~ Billy & Cheryl Walker, Ahwatukee, Arizona September 12, 2009 My very first line trip with FAL on the 580 was with Army (early 1967). I had a lot to learn and Army was helpful and patient with me. I had just spent a year on active duty with the Air Force flying in support of the Nam War. We had a lot to talk about and compare with Army's military background. My condolences to all Army's family. A great gentleman flew west. ~ Gary Winn September 11, 2009 DEAREST TERRI AND REG, MY SYMPATHY TO YOU BOTH AND YOUR FAMILY. SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS. I WILL KEEP YOU IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. LOVE, ~ BEV CUMMISKEY, LITTLETON, Colorado September 11, 2009 All Army's many friends at the old Frontier Airlines are saddened to hear of his passing. Our condolences to his family. ~ Jake Lamkins, Fayetteville, Arkansas
