ANGELLO GEORGE 1947 - 1982 AIRCRAFT MECHANIC IDA SLC Worked from 68 till close in SLC & DEN in maintenance. Worked with Bill Guthrie as a matter of fact. The last I saw of Bill was when he was at Delta. I retired from Hudson in 2002. I went to one of the FAL reunions in SLC, but this last one I had back surgery and couldn't make it. I met a couple times with Hobart Thiese (Tink) and Angello George, and talked with Tink this AM. He is doing pretty good and says that Angello has moved to somewhere in Calif and is living in a rest home enviroment and likes it. -Gary Horne (2/3/09) I transferred to SLC in Dec 1955 and worked there until the closedown. Lou Berets was manager but also worked for Dick Lohbeck, Duane Phelps and Harold Maxwell. He was in bad health but his daughter said he was improving . -Bill Guthrie (7/14/11) OBITUARY Angello Gust George - March 10, 1919 � July 27, 2011 passed away July 27, 2011, in Sonoma, Calif., after a very brief illness. Angello, born March 10, 1919, in Philadelphia Pa., moved to Pocatello, Idaho, as a young child, where he was raised. Angello was an avid fisherman and loved airplanes from an early age. As an early aviator, he soloed at the age of 16 in a bi-plane. He was a veteran of World We II, serving in the U.S. Naval Air. Angello went on to have a long career with the airlines, retiring as a master mechanic from Frontier Airlines in Salt Lake City, Utah. Angello was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vondell Maxwell George in 1988. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Luana George Baskin, her husband, Sidney Baskin, his grandson, Michael Baskin and his wife, Kathy, his granddaughter, Sara Baskin, and three great-grandchildren, Sean Baskin, Lorne Baskin and Eva Baskin. He is also survived by his two sisters, Kathy Korbis and husband, John, Micki Poulus and husband, Chris; and his brother, Tom George, and wife, Dorothy. He also had a brother Tony George, who was a casualty of World War II, and two sisters, Alice Walker and Despo (Tes) Katsilometes, who preceded him in death.
