Safes Stolen From Offices At Prescott 
Burglars forced their way into the offices of two airlines here 
and left with two safes containing approximately $700 in cash and checks yesterday. 
The theft was discovered at Prescott Municipal Airport by Allan Horn, 
Frontier Airlines employe, when he reported for work 6 a.m. yesterday. 
He found the offices of Bonanza and Frontier Airlines had been forced open. 
Undersheriff Walt Sanders said burglars entered the offices 
by using a sharp instrument, probably a knife, to open the lock. 
Airline officials could make only an estimate of the money taken 
because the records of receipts were in the stolen safes. 
The Bonanza safe weighed approximately 200 pounds, and the Frontier safe, 175 pounds. 
Besides the missing safes and the forced door, 
the only other evidence was a smudge on a window, 
apparently caused by a glove or a coat sleeve.
